Support for Communities

Uplift Austin was founded in the middle of 2021 by University of Texas Austin students. The nonprofit values working with college students and other nonprofits to help serve vulnerable populations. The organization helps Austin's unhoused population through working to provide basic supplies to them on bi-weekly food drives. Uplift Austin brings out students from nearby universities to give out food, socks and other necessities. 

In the past two and half years, Uplift Austin has worked with vulnerable communities in the city of Austin to better help these afflicted communities. In December of 2021, Uplift Austin worked with a local school to provide shoes to some of the students at the school. In the beginning of 2022, the nonprofit began working with Mission Impossible, a nonprofit that has been serving Austin’s community since 1992. Uplift Austin started working with giving out supplies such as at their food drives every other week.

The nonprofit additionally supports the community through working with a local school every single year to provide the students with a new pair of shoes. In the spring of 2023, Uplift Austin partnered with Project Yellow (a nonprofit in Austin) to give out mental health brochures and supplies to pickle Elementary School and Camp Impact.
